Hello! I'm Gemini, a professional pet portrait artist based in Pewsey, Wiltshire UK.

I have always wanted to be an artist. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, with my first memory being drawing at school; I found that my drawings of little bunnies always captured the attention of my classmates and I do recall charging something like 5p for a rabbit drawing at the age of about 6!

My love of art and dream to become an artist led me to pursue a Bachelor's Honours Degree in Fine Art, which I studied for 3 years at the prestigious Winchester School of Art. After graduating, I dabbled with many artistic ventures including installation and multi-media art, fashion and museum illustration, graphic design and even was employed by an entrepreneur to produce artwork solely for him! Eventually I found myself coming back to my roots and back to what I enjoyed at the very beginning; drawing animals!

My pet portraits are created on a commission basis for clients all over the UK. I specialise in realistic style drawings with a focus on bright sparkly shiny eyes. I always say "eyes are the window to the soul"! I use only the highest artist grade pastels (Faber-Castell Pitt and Carbothello Stabilo) on Clairefontaine Pastelmat artist grade paper. I occasionally do a gouache wash background to add vibrancy, which again is of the highest artist grade quality (Schmincke).
